The Claude Builder Club Hackathon at Purdue is a fast-paced, beginner-friendly, and high-energy build sprint where students come together to turn ideas into working AI-powered products in just a few hours.

This is not your typical hackathon — instead of grinding for 24+ hours, we focus on rapid ideation, creativity, and execution. Using tools like Claude, participants will explore “vibe coding” — building intuitive, creative, and functional applications with the help of AI.

Whether you're an experienced developer or completely new to coding, this hackathon is designed to be accessible, collaborative, and fun. You’ll work in teams to build something meaningful, present it, and compete for prizes — all in just one morning.

Schedule:

  • 8:30–9:00 AM: Opening Ceremony + Breakfast
  • 9:00–11:00 AM: Hacking (Build Time)
  • 11:00 AM–12:00 PM: Project Demos & Judging
  • 12:00–12:30 PM: Closing Ceremony + Awards

Tracks:

  • Code for Humanity – Build something with real-world or social impact
  • Boiler Builds – Anything related to Purdue (useful, fun, or chaotic)
  • Wildcard – Games, social apps, or creative/fun ideas

Awards:

  • Best Use of Claude
  • Most Creative Idea
  • Most Polished Product
About the Challenge Get started

Form your team, pick a track (or just start building), and come ready to create. At the start of the event, we’ll walk through expectations, judging criteria, and how to use Claude effectively during your build.

You’ll have 2 hours to go from idea → prototype → demo.

No prior experience with AI tools is required — just come ready to experiment and build.
